Clint Bierman

Call me Clint, Glenn, Clark, Clem, Reggie, or Stalin. I sing, play guitar, and co-write in The Grift.

I definitely got my musical inspirado from my family. Both my brothers, my nephew, my brother-in-laws, my mom, and my dad play music on a fairly regular basis and I grew up listening to music all the time. Although I started with piano, I eventually learned to play a number of instruments including guitar, bass, mandolin, and banjo.

Not only am I into playing music, but I also enjoy producing. I started my own record label called GlennSource Records and currently have released 8 different records for 6 different artists (Clint Bierman, Sunday Slide, The Grift, Big Gil, Laura Thomas, and The Green Gold Groove). My dad, Big Gil, recently recorded his follow up to the smash CD All Mixed Up and Not For Sale and released Still Mixed up But Now Considering Offers. Along with a multitude of extremely talented musicians and friends including Jamie Masefield of The Jazz Mandolin Project and Adam Frehm of Smoking Grass, we really captured the essence of Big Gil's spirit. I have also worked with a great singer-songwriter Laura Thomas on her release On My Sleeve. And finally, my boys from Middlebury, VT, The Green Gold Groove. This is the best high school band around and they keep getting better. There first full length will be released in the upcoming year. Stay tuned. At this time I'd like to give a a shout out to Rian Alfiero, a killer producer, who has worked with me on almost all of these. Someday I hope to expand the label to include more artists so if anyone is interested in producing an album, let me know!

I have been listening to an eclectic range of music recently including Zep, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, CSN, Sublime, Coldplay, Bela Fleck, J5, DMB, Phish, Dead, Allmans, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hendrix, Mama's and the Papa's, REM, Jack Johnson, Dispatch, The Shantee, The Beatles, Bruce Hornsby, Counting Crows, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Gov't Mule, Incubus, Little Feat, Maroon 5, Outkast, Paul Simon, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Richard Cheese, Rage, The Samples, The Stones, Stevie Wonder, U2, Panic, and Tenacious D.

I play a PRS Hollowbody 2 through a Bogner Shiva with a few different pedals including but not limited to: Ibanez tube screamer (Analogman Silver Mod), Mutron, Boss Delay, A Carl Martin (Hungis) Compressor, a Pigtronix EP-01, a Pigtronix "Stereo Umph" (clean boost), a Fulltone SupaTrem (modified with expression pedal), a Boss Octave pedal, and a CryBaby wah. In addition I play a couple different loop pedals (the boss loop station and the Boomerang) whenever possible and have just a real good time noodling. Very Therapeutic.

I enjoy bagel bites, VH1, travel, board games, playing black-jack, Texas Hold 'Em, that trivia you sometimes find in bars where you get your own controller and rack up player's points, those little bright orange crackers with peanut butter, and buffalo chicken sauce.
