“Where do I start!?! They have played my wedding, my brother’s wedding, my best friend’s wedding, his best friend’s wedding, friends of friends’ weddings… I think you get the idea, but it’s no joke. These guys make the party. Folks may forget how good the food was, or what the weather was like on your day, but they will never forget how much fun they had dancing with you to The Grift all night long. Best of all, they are all sincere, down-to-earth people and want to make YOUR day the best day of your life.”
—Robin, Vermont Bride
“LOOK NO FURTHER! If these guys weren’t family focused, they would be touring nationally. Skills that will blow your guests’ socks off. I have seen it time after time, if a soon-to-be-married couple goes to a Grift wedding, they will most definitely have The Grift at their own wedding… We would book The Grift again and again. And again.”
—John B, Vermont Groom
“The Grift definitely turns the good times up to 11 and then some! The quality of their performance can’t possibly be overstated! Their sense for maintaining dance floor momentum was made evident by three hours of non-stop ecstatic dancing and singing along. We can’t thank them enough for making our wedding night so fun and memorable for everyone involved!”
—Spencer P, Vermont Groom
“We heard about The Grift through good friends, and had the opportunity to see them in concert a few times before booking them for our wedding. They quickly became one of our favorite bands to see live and it was amazing to have them play on our big day. They have incredible energy and a huge song list. Without any input, Clint did a fantastic job as MC for the reception and the band quickly got all 250 guests up and dancing with the first song. The wedding planner at Jay Peak said it was the most people they’ve ever seen dance all night at a reception! We can’t imagine a better experience and our friends and family are still talking about it…”

“We brought The Grift down to Boston to play at our wedding, and they kept the dance floor rocking all night long! They played an acoustic set during our cocktail hour, which everyone really enjoyed, and then once the reception started, they played straight through to the end – leaving our guests chanting ‘one more song, one more song’ as everyone was having so much fun! We received so many compliments on how much fun our wedding was, and we owe a lot of that to The Grift. The dance floor was quite literally packed all night, and they played all of our favorite songs, from The Twist, Like a Prayer and Don’t Stop Believing to more modern favorites like Blurred Lines and Shut Up and Dance. Our guests loved them, and several even inquired how they could contact The Grift for upcoming parties and events. You will not regret hiring The Grift!”

“These guys were awesome. They were at our wedding this summer, and they absolutely rocked. Had folks up and dancing who NEVER danced at a wedding before. They became part of wedding and just flowed with everything. Great music, great flow and terrific energy. You can’t go wrong with these guys! I only wish I had another wedding soon so we could do it all over again.”
—Peter W, Vermont Groom
“The Grift is hands-down the best wedding band in Vermont. They get everyone dancing quickly, they sound amazing and have an extensive song list. One of the best things about the Grift is that are one-stop shopping. They will play your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, so you only need to hire one vendor, not three. They’ve played at the majority of wedding venues in Vermont, so there will be little for you to worry about on your big day. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend them. Our wedding guests are still raving about them and saying they were the best wedding band they’ve ever seen. Book them now! It’ll be the best wedding decision you make.”

“If you have too many things to worry about wedding-wise, hire The Grift and relax. If you want your guests to dance, dance, dance, hire The Grift. If you want your guests to still talk about your wedding for years to come, hire The Grift. These guys are the best, hands down.
I’m speaking as the father of the bride(s), as The Grift played for one daughter’s wedding in Vermont in late 2013 and again at my other daughter’s wedding in Boston (yep!) in August, 2015. They rocked the house, both times.
At wedding #1, Clint and Peter played acoustic guitars during the late afternoon ceremony, out on a lawn near a cornfield overlooking the Adirondacks. Then they played bluegrass/country during the cocktail hour, and then three hours straight after dinner (with a keyboardist during dinner). I think they took one 10-minute break during that time. Honestly, I don’t know how they kept their breath (and vocal cords) that long, and they played almost non-stop… one song going right into another.
This daughter decided she didn’t want to do the traditional father/daughter dance thing, so she worked with Clint to come up with a mash-up of five songs, starting with ‘Brown-Eyed Girl’ for 45 seconds and right into ‘Everybody Dance Now,’ ‘Old Time Rock ‘n Roll,’ and ‘September.’ We did up a little dance routine in advance and the crowd was speechless! After that, the dance floor was packed all night.
When my other daughter got engaged, we immediately called Clint about coming to Boston and he was all over it! His only concern was, ‘Will they let us in there?’, joking, of course. They played acoustic during the cocktail hour (at the Omni Parker House hotel), keyboard during dinner and then a couple hours afterwards, kicking off with “Twist and Shout” and hardly stopping after that. Once again, the dance floor was packed all night. Everyone had a blast.
The other thing to note is that these guys are truly nice guys, most Middlebury College grads. Clint is a great MC for introductions and toasts, and they are just a pleasure to work with.
Book early as they are justifiably popular… and a bargain to boot!”
—Peter M, Father of the Brides
“The Grift is not your average wedding band. They have the versatility and musical chops to pull off a wide range of styles, all the while delivering a high-energy performance that keeps the dance floor packed! They flow effortlessly from covers of The Doobie Brothers to Prince to Def Leppard and Journey, while maintaining a level of professionalism that makes them one of the best bands in the business to work with.”

“Cannot thank you guys enough for the AMAZING show you put on! You made our parents’ surprise party a night that none of us will ever forget. No one can stop talking about it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
“We had seen The Grift many times around Vermont. They’ve played at multiple reunions at my college and they were also part of an incredibly popular concert series in Burlington known locally as The Select Sessions. So when we started to plan a party for our 25th anniversary and wanted everyone to dance and have a great time, we knew exactly who to call (in fact, we chose our date based on the band’s availability). For three hours these guys brought the house down and had 150 of our friends on their feet. If you want to have a party that people will be talking about for a long time to come, this is the band for you. Excellent range, flawless musicianship, and a super accommodating attitude make The Grift one of the best event bands I’ve ever heard.”
